Our Mission & Standards

About Coffee is Sweet

A calmer, clearer way to discover natural coffee sweetness without snobbery or confusion.

Why We Started

For decades, most people encountered coffee only as a bitter, harsh, or burnt drink requiring spoonfuls of sugar and artificial syrups to make palatable. But high-altitude, specialty Arabica coffee beans are inherently sweet. When ripe coffee cherries are carefully harvested and gently processed, they develop complex natural sugars reminiscent of ripe stone fruit, wild berries, raw honey, milk chocolate, and panela caramel.

Yet the specialty coffee industry often locks this wonder behind intimidating jargon: elevation bands in meters, obscure fermentation biochemistry, and strict cupping protocols that alienate everyday drinkers.

Coffee is Sweet was built to break down that barrier. We bridge familiar comfort foods—like milk tea, lemon loaf, or 70% dark chocolate—to traceable single-origin beans, giving you an intuitive, stress-free path to coffee you genuinely love.

Our Core Principles

Zero Jargon Shaming

Whether you enjoy a cozy latte with oat milk or brew competition Geishas with a mineral-treated kettle, you belong here. We offer 3 personalized learning levels.

100% Non-Sponsored

We do not accept paid bean placements, roaster sponsorships, or kickbacks. Our catalog and triage formulas are open, transparent, and purely editorial.

Active Kitchen Tools

Coffee is an empirical, sensory craft. We build real interactive utilities—from live audio pour-over pacers to 2-click extraction triage doctors.

Editorial & Research Methodology

Our origin profiles, sensory radar charts, and harvest calendars are compiled from verified specialty coffee research, the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Coffee Value Assessment framework, and verified agronomic records from national coffee federations across Latin America, East Africa, and the Pacific.

When data is uncertain or unavailable (such as specific variety lineages on regional smallholder lots), we keep our notes honest and transparent rather than inventing marketing claims.
